Principal Reflections

Dear Parents and Carers,

School Advisory Council Meeting

On Tuesday night we held our second School Advisory Council Meeting for the year. The School Advisory Council advise Parish Priests, who hold pastoral leadership, and Principals who have leadership responsibility in our schools.

As integral members of the school community School Advisory Council members:

#  build and nurture a sense of community;

#  work collaboratively with the PP, the Principal and the wider school community;

# recognise that coherence and team membership supports the school to enhance academic and wellbeing outcomes.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank the School Advisory Council Members for their commitment to our team.

Winter Uniform

We wish to advise parents that the official date for changeover from summer to winter uniform is generally after the June long weekend (Tuesday 11th June).  However, as the weather has turned very chilly, we are now allowing students to wear either full winter (INCLUDING A TIE) or full summer uniform during this transition period. School uniform items are available for purchase via LOWES in Tamworth. Thank you for your ongoing support with ensuring that you send your child to school wearing our correct uniform.

Catholic Schools Week - Week 5

We are looking forward to celebrating Catholic Schools Week in Week 5 of this term. Our week will start with the staff from St Nicholas, St Joseph's West Tamworth and St Edward's coming together to be part of a collaborative Professional Development Session. The remainder of the week will involve the school participating in the Deanery Mass, Learning Walks and Talks, as well as wearing our favourite footy colours to celebrate the Gary McSweeney Cup on Friday.  Please see the attached poster that outlines the key events for Catholic Schools Week.

Thank You!

Finally,  I would like to thank all of the wonderful volunteers who came into the school to assist with our Mother's Day Stall at both campuses. I appreciate your time and energy in ensuring that our students have wonderful opportunities such as the Mother's Day Stall.

Until next week,

Keep smiling,

Alison Hatton
