Bonjour

It's truly a privilege to guide children through the wonder of language and reading. By fostering a love of reading and language early on, we equip them with essential tools for success in school and beyond.

Collaboration between home and school amplifies the impact of literacy education. When children see reading modeled in various contexts, they understand its relevance and importance in navigating the world around them. From bedtime stories to the practicality of decoding signs, each interaction with text builds their literacy skills and reinforces the value of reading.

Consistency in reading at home forms the bedrock of a child's language development. Through regular exposure to books and discussions about them, children not only expand their vocabulary but also deepen their understanding of language structure and meaning. In addition, the cognitive benefits of reading, such as improved critical thinking and imagination, further enrich their learning experiences.

Together, through shared efforts at home and in school, we can empower children to become confident readers and lifelong learners.  Read books, recipes, street signs, newspapers, and magazines, the opportunities are endless - all eyes are on you to be the best influencer you can.

During the first few days of next week our school will be participating in a school review with DOSCEL.  School reviews are crucial for assessing progress and identifying areas for improvement based on the strategic plan. It's a chance to reflect on achievements and challenges and to ensure alignment with the overall vision and goals.

We embrace this review and I extend my thanks to everyone involved in preparing for this event.

Passe un bon weekend
