Resource Centre

Resource Centre Committee

The Resource Centre Committee meet at lunchtime every Thursday in RC2 (computer lab).

Students are currently working on creating display items and activities for our Book Fair which will be held early next term.

Scholastics Book Club

Book club orders have now closed.  These orders will be distributed as soon as they arrive at school.

Thank you for your support for the book club program over the last 4.5 years. We have been able to use our reward points to build the library collection. Book tubs have also been purchased using these points, enabling students to locate books more easily.

Please note, there will be no Book Club in Term 3 due to our Annual Book Fair.

Annual Scholastic Book Fair

It is hard to believe that our Annual Book Fair is just around the corner! We are pleased to announce that the theme for this year is “Enchanted Forest”. The Book Fair will be held on Tuesday 6 and Wednesday 7 August.

Students will participate in a walk though with their class teachers on Monday 5 August to preview what is on offer. Families will also be able to view and purchase books after school, during the Primary School Parent Teacher Interviews.

Further information regarding the Scholastic Book Fair can be viewed here.

Author Visit

We are looking forward to welcoming Eleanor Pearson, author of "Books are not just for Bedtime” on Thursday 29 August. As part of her visit, we are offering her book for presale through her website which she will personally sign and deliver on the day. To order copies of herbook, please use the QR code on the bottom of this flyer or visit www.eleanorpearsonauthor.com.au.

Please keep reading books and entering them into your reading online.

Borrowing and Returns

Students may borrow and return books before school, recess, lunchtime and after school. Primary School students also have the chance to borrow books during their fortnightly Library lessons.

Renewals

Students are able to re-borrow books for an additional two weeks by speaking to staff at the Library Circulation Desk. If further borrowing is requested after this, students are required to bring their book with them to allow the staff to sight the book. In addition, students can renew their book/s by emailing the Library.

Requests

If your child would like to borrow a specific book and the title is not included in our current catalogue, we will add this to our purchase wishlist.

Overdue Notices

If you receive an overdue notice there is a chance that the books may been processed through our system after the email was sent, so we encourage all parents to follow up any issues by emailing the Resource Centre at library@moamagrammar.nsw.edu.au.
