From the Principal's Desk

Dear Parents and Carers,
We are already nearing the halfway mark of Term 2, and it has been another full and vibrant fortnight at All Saints'. Our students have continued to engage in learning and extra-curricular activities with enthusiasm, and I thank all families for your support.
SRC Meeting – Student Voice in Action
This week, our Student Representative Council (SRC) met to share ideas and feedback from their peers. The discussion was thoughtful and wide-ranging, covering suggestions such as holding a Pet Day, a Pyjama Day, and celebrating student birthdays more visibly within the school. The students also brought up some general maintenance concerns around the school grounds. It’s always encouraging to see our students taking ownership of their school community and working together to make it even better.
National Simultaneous Storytime – Library Visit
On Wednesday, our Kindergarten and Year 1 students took part in National Simultaneous Storytime by visiting the town library. They joined thousands of children around the country in reading the same picture book at the same time. It was a wonderful way to celebrate reading and community, and the students thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Our older students also participated at school and read the picture book ‘Truck Cat’ by Deborah Frenkel.
Walk Safely to School Day
Thank you to everyone who participated in Walk Safely to School Day last Friday. Students were dropped off by the town pool and enjoyed a safe and cheerful walk to school with staff. It was a great way to promote healthy habits and reinforce road safety awareness.
Kildare’s ‘High School Musical’ Excursion
Our Years 4, 5 and 6 students had the opportunity to attend a performance of High School Musical at the Wagga Civic Theatre, presented by Kildare Catholic College. It was a fun and high-energy production that gave our students a taste of musical theatre and the joy of live performance. A big thank you to Kildare for the invitation.
A Note on Permission Notes
We understand that there has been an increase in permission notes recently, and we appreciate your prompt responses. We have been advised that any time students leave the school grounds, regardless of distance, a specific permission note must now be sent home. This replaces our previous practice of issuing a blanket note for local activities. Thank you for your understanding as we follow these updated requirements.
Wishing you all a wonderful weekend.
God Bless,
Daniel Francis
Principal
