Catholic Identity

Heavenly Father,
We thank You for the life of Pope Francis, a shepherd who led with humility, compassion, and a heart for the poor and marginalized. His life was a tremendous gift to the world, and we are grateful for the profound impact he had on Your Church and humanity.
Lord, as we remember Pope Francis, we ask You to bless his legacy of strength, wisdom, and courage. May his teachings and example continue to inspire us to care for our common home, seek justice for the oppressed, and build bridges of peace and understanding among all people.
Help us to be instruments of Your love, working together to carry forward the mission that Pope Francis envisioned – a world where dignity, respect, and compassion prevail.
May his soul, and the soul of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, Rest in Peace.
Amen
St Joseph the Worker Mass
Today we celebrated the Feast Day of St. Joseph the Worker, reflecting his status as a carpenter and patron of workers. Saint Joseph was the foster father of Jesus and is held up by the Church as a model of the holiness of human labour. In the Gospel of Matthew, Jesus is referred to as “the carpenter’s son”. The feast day was established to both honour Saint Joseph and to make people aware of the dignity of human work, which has long been celebrated as a participation in the creative work of God.
The whole school came together to pray, sing and celebrate the patron saint of our school. Thank you to all the students for their participation and reverence during Mass.
Mercy Award
Our next award for the first 3 weeks is for the quality of showing ‘Justice’.
Some ways we can show JUSTICE here at St Joseph's are:
- following the rules
- being kind by including others
- being openminded and listening to other opinions
- standing up for what is right and what is kind
Project Compassion
Thank you all so very much for your generous contributions to Project Compassion during Lent.
