VCE Ensemble Performance Evening

May 5th, the VCE Drama class will present their ensemble performances.  These will be in the Robinson Centre Theatre from 6pm.

This year we covered a range of performance styles and recognised the philosophy, art movement or political climate that led to the formation of that style. The works they have devised are driven by topics that the students chose to explore, in order to emulate these performance styles that seek societal reflection/change.

The Year 12 group have chosen to tackle the education system that they feel needs a shake up with 'Another Brick'.

One Year 11 group have chosen to create a musical theatre piece that examines the true human and environmental cost of cheap consumer brands.

The other Year 11 group have chosen to examine our resilience and ability to cope with minor inconveniences that challenge our negativity bias.

Rehearsals so far have revealed many hilarious and thought provoking moments. I am very proud of what they have been able to achieve and can't wait to share it with an audience.
