Child Dental Benefits Schedule

Parents are reminded of the Australian Governments Child Dental Benefits Schedule.
This program provides up to $1,132 worth of dental services, per child, every 2 years, between birth and 17 years.
If you or your child receive one of the following payments, please take the time to check your exact eligibility:
- Family Tax Benefit Part A
- Parenting Payment
- ABSTUDY
- Carer Payment
- Disability Support Pension
- Youth Allowance
- Military Rehab or Veterans’ Schemes (ages 16-17)
Basic dental services covered are:
- Check-ups and cleaning
- Fissure sealing and fillings
- X-rays
- Root canals
- Extractions
Ballarat has a public dental clinic on the corner of Hertford St and Tuppen St, Sebastopol, ph. 5320 4225, you may use a participating private dentist or claim the benefit via Medicare.
