Stage 3 SPeeCh! Core Assessment Task 

This term in Stage 3 English, students will have opportunities to enhance their persuasive writing and oral language and communication skills with their SPeeCh! Task. This is also a Core Assessment Task for students. Outcome EN3-OLC-01 allows students an opportunity to demonstrate their skills in communicating to wide audiences with social and cultural awareness, by interacting and presenting, and by analysing and evaluating for understanding.   • The Power of Kindness: How small acts of kindness can make a big difference. 
  • The Power of Education: Why learning is the key to a better future. 
  • The Power of Teamwork: How working together can achieve great things. 
  • The Power of Nature: The importance of protecting our environment. 
  • The Power of Imagination: How creativity can change the world. 
  • The Power of Technology: How innovations are shaping our lives. 
  • The Power of Words: How what we say can impact others. 
  • The Power of Resilience: Overcoming challenges and bouncing back stronger. 
  • The Power of Dreams: Why it's important to dream big and follow your passions. 
  • The Power of Community: How communities can come together to support each other. 

The students will work on this task in class and have opportunities to rehearse their persuasive speech at home. All students will present their speech to their teacher and peers throughout Week 5 after they submit their written speech on Monday 26 May.
