SPC Mothers’ Day Mass and Blessing

The RSVP window for this Friday’s Mothers’ Day Mass has now closed. It is too late to add anybody as the venue requires the numbers for set up. Please note that specific details regarding the event will be emailed to all those with tickets.

Boys who are not attending Mothers’ Day Mass will have school as normal. They will be given time for private study and homework, with access to most teachers, until Recess. All students will then have Periods 3, 4 and 5 as normal on Friday.

Wishing all mothers and mother-figures a wonderful celebration on Sunday. This school would not function without the unending, selfless commitment of so many of our mothers. Thank you!!! We hope you take the time to celebrate in your parishes and with your families, and that you enjoy some rest. God bless each of you!

An Irish Blessing for Mothers

There is but one and only one,

Whose love will fail you never.

One who lives from sun to sun,

With constant fond endeavour.

There is but one and only one

On earth there is no other.

In heaven a noble work was done

When God gave us a Mother.

Student Spiritual Life Survey Results

As you may remember, all students in Years 7 to 12 completed the Student Spiritual Life Survey conducted by the National Church Life Survey Research Centre in the last week of Term 1. We have received the results and will be looking deeper into them over coming weeks. There were no great surprises, but it was affirming to see the data match our anecdotal evidence. The Wellbeing and Identity Teams will be looking at them together, seeing where there may be strengths and needs in each year group. 999 students completed the survey. Below is a simple snapshot of the results for SPC.
