Student Concession Cards

Parents/carers are advised that their son in Years 10, 11 and 12 may be eligible for an NSW/ACT Senior Secondary Student Concession Card as proof of entitlement for concession fares on public transport.

This card is distributed by the College and is required when using a Child/Youth Opal card or a child/concession ticket. The cards have been delivered and will be distributed via your son’s homeroom teacher.

Here's a more detailed explanation:

  • Concession Fares: Students aged 16 and over are entitled to concession fares on NSW public transport.

  • Proof of Entitlement: They need an NSW/ACT Senior Secondary Student Concession Card to show they are eligible for these fares.

  • Opal Card: They can use a Child/Youth Opal card, but they need the concession card as proof when using the Opal network or when purchasing a child/concession ticket.

Private Bus Service

After exploring the feasibility of a private bus service, the College has determined that it is not a viable option at this time.

Unfortunately, due to limited confirmed interest and payments received, we are unable to proceed with the service at this stage.

However, we will continue to monitor interest levels and may reconsider this offering in the future.

We sincerely appreciate the families who took the time to respond, and we hope to provide this support at a later date.

Should you have any questions, please email transport@spc.nsw.edu.au.

Thank you for your ongoing engagement with the College.
