Year 10 

Term 2 is off and running and the year 10s have been very busy. 

The cohort were lucky enough to experience the Careers Expo in the Leisure Centre and had the opportunity to speak with a variety of further educational institutions. Many students bundled their arms up with pamphlets, booklets and a variety of free stationery which seemed to be a hit.

In the classroom we have seen positives in the VET classes with lots of engagement and hands on learning which is giving students a taste of what they could continue with after school.

A group of year 10 boys have been taking on roles as mentors with year 8s and guiding them through positive actions. Feedback from staff has been that these year 10 boys have been displaying positive mentorship in the yard.

Our first Level Up day is fast approaching in Week 5. Year 10 students will spend the day as a cohort focusing on a variety of workshops such as consent in the digital world, life choices, study skills and key information on work experience and subject selections for year 11. We look forward to this day and hope the students do too.
