NEWS FROM THE ART ROOM

A huge thank you to Zoe Russo (Harrison and Olivia’s mum) for the amazing donation of art supplies, so many goodies that we are excited to use in the art room.

As momentum for the art show starts to build, so too does the art work, many of which need naming and mounting. If you have time to spare during any week this term, please come and visit me in the art room, any day Tuesday - Friday, grab a glue stick and some sticker labels, I would greatly appreciate extra hands to get the smaller jobs done.

We are hoping to announce the name of our cow this Friday at assembly so stay tuned! Initial designs and discussions are underway, further updates to follow.

If there are any students in Year Six (must be 12 years or older) who are interested in pursuing an art project to enhance their current skills and abilities, please see the information and link below for the City of Kingston’s 2025 Youth Art Expo. For students wishing to participate, consent must be provided by a parent through the registration form found in the link below.

Whilst this is a project students will work on independently in their own time during term 2, I will be offering time for participating students some time at lunchtime this term to work on their art in the art room, where I can offer support and listen to their ideas and suggestions and have time to work on their submission.
