Term 2 Sustainability Update – Growing Strong!

Term 2 Sustainability Update – Growing Strong!
Our sustainability journey is thriving this term! The veggie garden is bursting with life 🍓🥬🧄🪴 strawberries, lettuce, and herbs are growing rapidly thanks to the care from our students and families.
It’s a wonderful reflection of our community’s commitment to a greener future.
Nude Food Tuesdays are back with renewed energy and healthy competition! Thank you to our whole school community for embracing these important conversations and helping us work toward a waste-free environment. Every wrapper sent home makes a difference.
Our native gardens continue to flourish and have become a peaceful, welcoming space for families. We encourage you to pause and enjoy these beautiful areas next time you’re on school grounds.
Discussions about how plastics persist in our oceans sparked our science experiment. Exploring soft plastics in salt water led to fascinating insights. Despite increasing the salt levels, the plastics remained unchanged, this hands-on learning highlights the urgent need to reduce plastic waste in our environment. 🌎🌲🍃🌳
Last year, we proudly participated in the Actions for Earth Challenge and were thrilled to win native plants as part of our prize. We were delighted to have them delivered, and we’ll be planting these beautiful additions across our school grounds very soon.
Thank you for supporting our students on this meaningful journey.
