Home Group Competition

On Wednesday 27 March, Middle School was bursting at the seams with excitement as the Year 7 and Year 8 Home Group competition results  were released for Term 1.

Throughout the Term, Year 7 and 8 students were able to earn points for their Home Group by earning Green Learning and Behaviour Compass posts, achieving 90% plus attendance for the Term, and attending Learning Boost. Students were also able to earn points through our Term 1 Home Group event. Students were able to track their Home Group’s progress through weekly updates.

This term, our Home Group was the Kindness Project. For this event, students completed a bingo card with acts of kindness. To earn points,  every student in each Home Group contributed by demonstrating an act of kindness towards their friends, peers, teachers, and the wider school community. 

After nine weeks, Year 7I and Year 8S finished on top. As a result, they were rewarded with a fantastic lunch in Middle Years. They were provided with pizza and soft drink, with ice cream for dessert. The students had a fantastic time celebrating their efforts with their Transition Teachers and Middle School Staff. 

Well done on an excellent first term Year 7 & 8! Can’t wait to see the competition heat up in Term 2. May the odds be in your favour!
