Learner Profile Attribute: Reflective

For the month of May, we are focusing on being Reflective in our learning and at school.

This means that we thoughtfully consider the world and our own ideas and experience.

We work to understand our strengths and weaknesses in order to support our learning and personal development.

We are reflective when we:

Look back and think about things we have done before

Listen to other people’s ideas and reflect on our own

Reflect on prior knowledge to help us tackle a task

Think about our learning and set goals for ourselves

How can you support your child being reflective at home?

  • Encourage you child to write a diary.
  • Reflect on strengths and weaknesses of different activities at home by discussing once they have been completed.
  • Prioritise reflection – How do you know? What makes you think that? Is there another way you could do that? What did you find easy, challenging? Why?
