Principal's Message

Dear Parents, Carers, and Members of our School Community,

As the season of Lent draws to a close and we prepare for Holy Week and the Easter Season, we reflect on the story of Jesus' death and resurrection. For Christians worldwide, this is the most important event on the church's calendar and the holiest of weeks when we recall and reflect on the events of the last week of Jesus' life and the beautiful message of hope and new beginnings that the Easter season brings. Enjoy the Easter break and we look forward to seeing everyone again on Monday 15th April.

St. Joseph's Fete - Thank you

Thank you - to our wonderful community for a very successful 2024 Fete. It takes a village to run this huge event and on behalf of the students, parents, staff and the fete committee THANK YOU.

Professional Development

Mrs. Teresa Allen and Mrs. Kimberly Nye are heading off to Assisi on the holidays as part of the SMOTA St. Francis, pilgrimage. This pilgrimage offers those seeking renewal and a deeper relationship with God, which will immerse pilgrims in the lives of St. Francis and St. Clare through prayer, celebration of the Eucharist, lectures, and historical visits.

The example of Gospel living given to us by St. Francis and St. Clare, has much to teach

today’s leaders and educators in these complex times. Mrs. Allen will be replaced by Mrs. Gabby Wiles and Mrs. Nye will be replaced by Miss Eden MacKinnon and Mrs Gemma Tilleyfor Week one, next term.  We wish them a wonderful safe trip.

Congratulations to the 'Bride & Groom'

This week we had a very special celebration with all the students in Grades 3 and 4.

Together we surprised Miss Crea with a pre-wedding celebration.  Jack, (her fiancé), came into school to join in the special occasion. The students have been just as excited as Miss Crea; counting down to her wedding to Jack this Saturday. We wish them both all the very best for their wedding day and their future together.

Morning arrival and yard supervision

In recent weeks we have noticed students arriving before 8:30 am. This is a gentle reminder that the school gates on Broadway St and Hay Ave open at 8:30 am. Yard Supervision begins at 8:30 am, ensuring our student's safety.

Classroom teachers are allocated planning and preparation time until 8:40 am. This means that all classroom doors are open from 8:40 am. We thank you for your understanding and support.

Warm regards,

Sarah Iddles
