Open Night

This week, Koo Wee Rup Secondary College had its 2024 Open Night, which allowed us to showcase the college to our prospective families and students. With an excellent turnout of families, staff and a large group of students were able to answer questions and describe the program and opportunities that we provide at Koo Wee Rup Secondary College. Thank you to all the staff and students who made this event a very successful evening. 

NAPLAN

I would like to congratulate our Year 7 and 9 students for their diligence and conduct during the NAPLAN test period. The tests were well administered by our leaders, teachers and support staff, and we look forward to receiving individual and school results to help support students with their learning growth.

A school term of opportunities

The last four weeks have been filled with many extra-curricular opportunities for our students, including a Unit 3 Outdoor Education Camp, Regional Swimming Sports, class excursions, a Soloist Evening, Senior Formal, Year 9 Morrisby Interviews and interschool sports.

I had the opportunity to visit our Year 7s on their camp at Phillip Island Adventure Resort, which was well attended and focused on building quality relationships between students and the Year 7 staff that attended. It was fantastic to see the enthusiasm and bravery of our students in the range of adventure activities.
