Principal Message

Be Kind, Be safe, Be respectful, Be responsible, Be resilient, Be ready
Dear Families,
It has been wonderful to welcome our students back to Our Lady Star of the Sea for the beginning of Term 4. The students have returned with great excitement and enthusiasm, ready for a wonderful term of learning, growth and new experiences.
Our staff began the term on Monday with rich and meaningful professional learning, centred on Religious Education and how we can continue to deepen the faith learning of our students. This term, as a whole school community, we will be exploring the inquiry question: “Who is my neighbour?”
Through our learning in Catholic Social Teaching and Christian Life, students will be invited to consider what it means to recognise and uphold the dignity of every human person. They will explore important themes including care for our common home, options for the poor and solidarity across our world. These themes provide wonderful opportunities for our students to connect faith with the world around them and to consider how they can live out the Gospel through their words, choices and actions.
As we begin Term 4, we look forward to supporting our students to grow not only in their knowledge and understanding, but also in compassion, empathy and a genuine commitment to making a positive difference in the lives of others.
Thank you to our families for the warm welcome back and for your continued partnership in supporting the learning and wellbeing of our students. We are looking forward to a positive and fulfilling final term for the 2026 school year together.
Welcome back to Term 4. Let’s make it a great one!
Warm regards,
Pamela McKillop
