Year 7/8 News

Building Connections Through MTB Club
Our MTB Club remains a great opportunity for students to get active, build fitness, and develop important social skills. Beyond the riding itself, students are learning the value of teamwork, communication, resilience and supporting one another. It has been fantastic to see students encouraging their peers, working together and enjoying being part of a team.
Equipment for Learning – Be Organised!
You may have noticed a slight increase in compass texts for equipment for learning. This has been a focus of the Year 7/8 team for the past couple of weeks.
A reminder to students that being organised and prepared for learning is an important part of success at school and a great habit for the workplace.
Having the correct books, equipment and materials ready for each class helps students make the most of their learning time and demonstrates responsibility.
We encourage all students to check their timetables, pack their bags the night before and make sure they have everything they need for the day ahead.
Year 8 Camp – Deposits Due
Year 8 students and families are reminded that camp deposits are now due. We are looking forward to providing students with an exciting opportunity to build independence, strengthen friendships and create some great memories together.
Please ensure deposits are paid by the due date so that students can secure their place on camp. More information about the camp will be shared with families as we get closer to the big adventure!
