News from the Parent Committee

We hope everyone enjoyed some time with their father’s and special people over the weekend. The PC would like to thank the Father’s Day breakfast and stall organisers – Sandy, Pascale, Bec, Lauren & Brian for their hard work at putting on two great events. 

The PC would also like to thank the volunteers at the events: Brune, Melanie, Sussanah, Beatriz, Charlie, Taina, Maria, Florence, Shari, Jade, Sandrine, Dorit, Leigh-Anne, Simona, Julia, Seth, Sarah, Alex, Nadéah, Severine, Andres, Karyn and Angela. 

The PC will be finishing off the year in style with the End Of Year Party and Silent Auction on Friday November 20th.  We will be asking for lots of volunteers – stay tuned for ways to get involved!

Second Hand uniform Shop: CJC’s second-hand uniform shop will be open on Wednesday 16th September from 9am. This is a great place to pick up CJC uniforms and school bags. 

If you have CJC uniforms that your child\ren have grown out of and are in good condition (no holes, stains and an intact emblem), please consider donating them to the uniform shop. The donation box is at the bottom of the eastern stairs in the front building. 

Friday Treats: Delicious Friday treats continue this term. Please see below for when it is your classes turn to volunteer. Volunteering is easy and takes about 30minutes of your time from 3.15pm, please let your class convenor know if you are available on your class’s day.

Parents Committee members: If you would like to know what’s happening in the PC, check out the PC wall in the front building next to the second-hand clothes donation box. This space has all things PC – contact details, QR codes for working with children check’s, upcoming events and PC meetings dates. If you want to be more involved, but not take on a role, the PC is always looking for those with great ideas to join our wider planning team. You can reach out via your class convenor or the PC email - caulfieldjuniorpc@gmail.com – to join.

CJC Families Facebook Group: Did you know that we have a CJC Facebook Group called CJC Families?  The page is used to inform our community of CJC Events, sell 2nd hand uniforms, find a babysitter and more. To be a member of this private page, you must be a current CJC community member and answer the questions to join - https://facebook.com/groups/CJCParents/

Child Safety: A reminder that all parents/carer’s who wish to volunteer at CJC must have a Working With Children Check – it is free for volunteers and you can apply online here: https://service.vic.gov.au/services/working-with-children
