Teaching and Learning

TERM 4 BEGINS!
We extend a warm welcome to all students and families as we commence the final term of the 2025 academic year.
A particular acknowledgment is extended to our Year 12 students, who are entering the concluding phase of their studies, including final classes, revision, and trial examinations.
The College community offers its support and best wishes to each student for focus, perseverance, and success during this important period.
SUPPORTING YOUR CHILD DURING THEIR FINAL EXAMINATIONS
As our Year 12 students approach the conclusion of their secondary schooling, this period can bring a mix of anticipation, pressure, and emotion—for both students and their families. Supporting your child through their final examinations is not only about helping them study effectively but also ensuring their wellbeing and balance during this demanding time.
The following resource, How can you support your Year 12 student during their final exams?, offers practical advice and strategies for parents to assist their children in managing stress, maintaining motivation, and approaching exams with confidence.
WORK READINESS PROGRAM SUCCESS
Preparing for Life Beyond St John’s
Our Year 12 VCE Vocational Major and Unscored students recently took part in a dynamic and practical program designed to equip them with valuable skills for life beyond school.
Throughout the week, students engaged in a range of hands-on learning experiences, including driver education, résumé development, food handling, White Card certification, and Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) training.
This comprehensive program not only provided students with nationally recognised qualifications but also strengthened their confidence and readiness to enter the workforce or pursue further study. We congratulate all participants on their achievements and commend them for their enthusiasm and commitment to preparing for the next chapter of their journey.
