Principal's Message

Dear parents, students and families,

Today marks 'R YOU OK ' day.  By taking the time for an R U OK? conversation and genuinely listening with an open mind, we can all help the people in our world feel supported and connected. Let the people in your world know you’re here, to really hear, because a conversation could change a life.

WE WALK TOGETHER PRAYERS FOR R U OK? DAY Prayer thanks to : Timothy Hart, Catholic Education Diocese of Wollongong, NSW .

All: We walk together in hope…

Reader: Just as Jesus walked with others and asked them what they needed. Today we pray that we may be guided by the Spirit to do the same…

All: We walk together in compassion…

Reader: We walk with those who feel lost, overwhelmed or alone. And we endeavour to create a space where others can be real.

All: We walk together in love…

Reader: We listen, because people matter. We walk with each other, because connection matters. And we ask “RUOK”, because we care.

All: We reach out…

Reader: We reach out in love to those we know. We pray for those we cannot reach. And we practice self-compassion, as we carry our own pain.

All: We ask each other “R U OK?”

Reader: Leaving space for more to say. We trust that God is walking with us every step of the way Whispering to our hearts,

All: “Do not be afraid, I am with you.”

Reader: We hold each other, today, in love. And we are held in love by the Compassionate One.

Amen

The weekend Masses of the 16th and 17th of September will be times when our students intending to be Confirmed in the faith and continues through the school holidays. Confirmation is on Sunday 22nd October at 4pm for our students.

What a wonderful evening we had that took place last Thursday. The staff and students worked so well as a team to put on a fantastic performance.  This show was the culmination of developing their skills each week. I especially thank Mrs McArthur and Mrs Ary for their leadership of this evening.  Just a reminder for families attending St Anne's community events - please make sure all children that don't attend St Annes are supervised within your family group. It was unfortunate that the unsupervised children detracted from such a positive event for the community.

We will end the term tomorrow with our annual Footy Day. Thank you to the P&F for all of their work organising the lunches.

We look forward to a new term starting on Monday 2nd October,

God bless

Sally Thomas

Acting Principal
