A Term of Celebrating Spiritual Growth, Community, and Compassion

Dear families

As we approach the conclusion of Term 3, it's a perfect moment to look back on the incredible blessings we've experienced during these past few months. Our school community has witnessed remarkable growth in our students' spiritual journey as they delved into the various historical representations of God. They also had the opportunity to explore inspirational figures whose lives mirror the qualities of God, allowing them to explore how they, too, can reflect God's image in today's world.

This term has been marked by celebrations with our beloved families, including Grandparent's Day, the joyous 100 Days of Prep, and the heartwarming Father's Day. We wrapped it all up with a beautiful Mass in honour of Our Lady's Nativity, our school and parish feast day. These sacred moments served as powerful reminders of the strength of our faith when we come together as a community.

Our liturgical celebrations were made even more special with the participation of some of our students who took on significant roles during Mass. In particular, several Year 4 students were invited to become altar servers following their First Communion. They received dedicated training and guidance from Fr. Toan, emphasizing the importance of their role in the Mass.

This term, we witnessed our Year 6 students taking a profound step in their faith journey as they received the Sacrament of Confirmation. With the unwavering support of their teachers and the guidance of our parish priests, they made a heartfelt commitment to be advocates of their faith and active contributors to the mission of our Church.

Our school's Catholic mission to support those in need worldwide has been a central theme in our activities this term especially when the fathers who attended the Father's Day breakfast made donations to support the Boys to Men charity, raising awareness for prostate cancer in Australia. We extend our heartfelt thanks to our parents for their incredible generosity throughout these school initiatives.

In the classroom, daily prayers and Gospel challenges have played an essential role in nurturing our personal faith. Students from all classes came together daily in God's presence to reflect and pray for various intentions close to their hearts.

Miss Tomlin and I's recent pilgrimage journey and participation in World Youth Day was nothing short of inspiring. Through our experiences in Rome, Assisi and engagement with young people from around the globe during World Youth Day in Lisbon, we were able to bring back a renewed sense of purpose and passion for our shared faith. Our stories of the Pope's impactful message and the connections forged with spiritual leaders serve as a beacon for us all.

As we draw near to the end of this term, we offer our thanks for the abundance of graces bestowed upon us. We pray that everyone may enjoy a safe and restful holiday, rejuvenating for the exciting journey that lies ahead.

Blessings
