Formal Assembly
On Monday 11 September THS held the Term 3 Formal Assembly. Student achievement was recognised in 3 categories academic, consistency & improvement. Major awards were provided to students who had received the most nominations from teachers &
10 students reached gold level in our wellbeing positive merit rewards & were awarded a certificate, canteen voucher & tag. Congratulations to all students who received an award & thank you to the families who attended.
The 2023 leaders conducted their final assembly & were presented with a certificate & pen & the 2024 leaders received their badges & were inducted. It was lovely to see the proud parents of our new leaders enjoy this special occasion with them.
Technology Wood
Mr Sproule's Year 8 Technology wood students have been doing some great work. In Term 3 they have been working on chopping boards, phone holders & small tables.
Technology Mandatory
Mrs Cooper's Year 8 Technology Mandatory students made macrame key rings.
MC
Ms Scott, Ms Olive & MC students were invited to the Tenterfield Railway Museum AGM & presentation BBQ held on Wednesday 13 September. Students were acknowledged for their ongoing support & hard work at the Railway station in Term 3. Students proudly gave Ms Scott a tour of the dog box they have been painting & the tricycle they are assembling. Thank you to Ms Olive for organising this wonderful community involvement for our students!
YES+Tafe
YES + Tafe students displaying their completed projects. Another example of the great opportunities THS students are taking advantage of. Well done everyone!
Agriculture
Year 9/10 Agriculture students attended the Northern School Prime Pig competition in Bingara on 6 September, where we won the Grand Champion carcus!! It was a great experience for all attendees, thank you to Mr Jones & Mrs Parker for organising.
