Year 3 Camp ADANAC

From Monday to Wednesday this week, our Year 3 cohort enjoyed a fun-filled three days at Camp ADANAC in Yarra Junction. The weather was kind to us on day 1 and the students took part in three activity rotations to kick start the camp.

The activities included:

  • Archery
  • Bush cooking
  • Flying fox
  • Pickleball
  • Water slide
  • Canoeing
  • Hut building

The first day of camp wrapped up with a fun trivia night.

Mother nature threw a few surprises our way on day 2, but the students showed the school value of resilience across the day and they soldiered on through the rain. They also took a moment to recognise Remembrance Day and show their gratitude for those who have fought in the past for us to have our freedoms today - such as going on a school camp! Following a full, tiring day of activities, the students wound down with a movie night and plenty of popcorn.

On the final day, they all participated in some big group activities in the gym and the rec room. Teamwork and cooperation were the keys to success! It was wonderful to see all of the students working together - the encouragement and support was outstanding.

Camp ADANAC provides such a great entry point to a school camp program and the students all had a fantastic time away. We are all so proud of their efforts across the three days. A huge thank you to the parent helpers and staff who attended the camp to make the experience possible for our students.

RAFT - Scavenger Hunt and Movie Night

Updated date: Saturday 29th November from 3:00pm

In a few weeks, RAFT will be hosting their final event of the year. The scavenger hunt and movie night is back by popular demand! Last year, the scavenger hunt took families/teams out around the streets of Mitcham and our organisers promise an even more challenging competition this year!

The scavenger hunt will be followed by a classic Christmas movie in the gym in the evening, with popcorn and drinks provided for all attendees.

Come along and enjoy a great afternoon of adventure and fun with the RAFT group and other Rangeview families. Thank you to Byron and Simon once again for the efforts in organising and running this event.

School Colour Run

On Friday November 28th, we are holding our school Colour Run! Make sure you consent on Compass prior to the event. Students should wear white and/or old clothing (and footwear) - they should expect to be covered in colour and may also get quite wet! Students can either wear school uniform to school and get changed during B2, or simply wear their white/old clothing to school in the morning. We suggest also packing a towel (or have a few handy in the car for the trip home!).

Thanks to our P&F group for their organisation and running of this fun event.

Student Leaders Fundraiser

Coming up on Thursday December 4th, we are running our final free dress day of the year - all in support of our Year 6 Legacy Project. Every year, our student leaders run a fundraiser to raise funds for a project for all graduating Year 6s to be a part of and 'leave their mark on the school'.

Students can wear free dress (no theme, anything they like!) for a gold coin donation - please be SunSmart.

In addition, our Year 6s will be selling icy-poles during B1 (11:15pm-12:00pm) on the library deck for $1 each.
