Fun Day

Last week we had our Prep Fun Day. This experience is the beginning of “camp” experiences at NMPS, preparing students to build their stamina to handle a whole day, and eventually days, worth of activities as they go through each year level.

In the morning, we had a bunch of insect themed activities for students to move between. They included a caterpillar craft, insect finger painting (very therapeutic!), reading non-fiction books about insects, and insect colouring in.

The highlight of the day, without a doubt, was getting to see our Year 6 buddy classes. We took a trip over to the Errol Street Campus and got to do more reading, more colouring in, and a scavenger hunt with our teddies and buddies! We had some tasks to get through like taking a photo of our teddies on the slide, or helping our teddies to make new friends. The 6s topped off our afternoon with them with a teddy bears picnic, with a super surprise snack of Tiny Teddies! Yum!!!

What a day! We hope you had fun, Preppies!

It was a huge day and you did amazingly to push through it. Bring on the Year 1 camp experience day next year!
