Faith

Year 10 Mass

It is always a special time to have students, parents and staff pray and reflect together in the College Chapel.  This week, Mr Allen’s Year 10 students celebrated Mass and sang so beautifully. A big thank you to Mr Migro’s 10.8 PCG, and all the incredible and talented readers, altar servers, running of the PowerPoint – probably the most difficult job, and to the parents and families who joined us in this Eucharistic celebration.

We were very fortunate to have the Redemptorists supporting us this week.  To Fr Lovin for celebrating Mass and to Br Huy for delivering a special reflection, challenging our young men to reflect more deeply on how they can enact their faith in their own lives.  A special thank you to our Old Boy, Matthew Loo on piano.

Year 9 Retreat

Campus Ministry and the TC staff always try to deliver meaningful and engaging retreat experiences for our students. This year, the Year 9 students participated in their retreat over two days. The Youth Mission Team Australia (YMT) delivered an energetic, insightful, and reflective day with the focus on Self Image. This is the first time Trinity College has invited YMT to deliver a retreat us. WE were very fortunate to also see Old Boy Zack Ting (’15) as part of the YMT group. Thank you to the Year 9 PCG teachers, Mrs Stewart, and Mr Byrne for supervising on the day.

Our Old Boys, Chris Gardiner, Luke Alderslade, Myles Brown, and Lachlan Versace shared their own Christian Service experiences at TC and beyond – even when many were in the middle of their own university exams. We always pride ourselves on our college mantra, Men for Others, so it is refreshing to see so many Old Boys wanting to be part of this Retreat. Our student leaders saw a need and acted upon it.  Thank you and God bless!

Friday 8.00am Community Mass

Friday 8:00am Mass was hosted by Mr Walley’s Benson’s 7.6 PCG class.  A special thank you to our three readers and CBC bell ringer, and to Mr O’Neill for being the Acolyte this morning.  Thank you to all who attended.  We have two more Friday 8:00am Masses and during the month of November we are encouraging our community to light a candle for a loved one, prior to the commencement of Mass or immediately after.  Thank you and God bless!
