Learning from Home - Next Steps

As communicated to all families in a letter from the Principal on 2 November, students in Years 10, 11 and 12 will be invited to learn from home on some Mondays in 2024, if they have attained the Flipped Learning Micro-credential and met the criteria communicated.

Parents will be notified if their child qualifies for at-home learning by Friday 1 December. Parents of these students will be required to attend an in-person or online seminar in Week 9 of this term, outlining the requirements and expectations of learning from home. Please 'save the date' for the seminars which will be held on the following days:

  • Tuesday 5 December 7.00pm
  • Thursday 7 December 7.00pm

We encourage in-person attendance; however, for those who are unable to come to the College we will be organising an online option.

Dr Andrew Browning AM Oration, Cocktail Party, and Draft College Master Building Plan Launch

Chevalier College proudly presents Chevalier Past Student, Dr Andrew Browning AM, who will speak about his selfless life as a doctor in Africa. Parents, carers, and Chevalier students are invited to attend. We ask that students attending the event wear their summer College uniform.

This unmissable event is sure to be fascinating, moving, and inspirational for people of all ages.

Dr Browning AM is an obstetrician-gynaecologist who has devoted his life to improving maternal health in Africa, with a particular focus on fistula surgery. He has collaborated with Dr. Catherine Hamlin and along with his aunt Valerie Browning, and father, Dr David Browning, is the founder of the Barbara May Foundation.

After Dr Browning's oration, drinks and canapés will be served, and some images from the Chevalier College Draft Master Building Plan will be unveiled.

Date: Saturday 18 November, 2023

Time: 3.00pm

Carols on The Meadow

Our Carols on The Meadow evening is on Thursday 30 November 2023 at 5.00pm. We are looking forward to the Chevalier community coming together for a fun-filled evening of student performances, delicious food and Christmas spirit!

2024 Uniform

Any students still wearing the old style uniform will need to update their uniform for 2024, as communicated in the Principal's Message in Need to Knows on 31 March this year.

We advise you to purchase the new uniform before Friday 24 November, when the shop closes until January, so that you do not need to come into the Chev Shop during the holidays. Students are welcome to come to the Shop during breaks on Thursdays and Fridays.  We gladly accept payments over the phone and students can collect.

Holiday opening hours can be found on the College website.
