Faith Formation and Mission

Chevalier Day

During the Chevalier Day Liturgy, we took the time to express our gratitude for the life of Jules Chevalier. Chevalier College was founded with a clear vision and mission in mind, which was to share God’s love with people across the globe.

This is why you will hear many at Chevalier say, “May the Sacred Heart of Jesus be everywhere loved.” This phrase is central to the Mission and Ministry of Jules Chevalier. As members of the MSC community, we play an important role in spreading this spirit of generosity and compassion. We are inspired by Jules' example to show love to everyone in our society, particularly those in need.

Special thanks to the Year 8 students for creating the amazing chalkboards on either side of the altar, which symbolise the Spirituality of the Heart and what it means to be part of our MSC community. By living out Jules Chevalier's mission, we aim to provide support, show love, offer hospitality, and exhibit compassion to those around us.

Year 10 Retreat

Year 10 Retreat 2023 - The Heart Inside - Be True to Yourself

The journey into adulthood is a time of transition and self-awareness which also encompasses acceptance of others. Young people seek identity and affirmation through relationships and connectedness.

At this retreat, students were encouraged to turn their attention inward to their ‘true selves’ and to explore what it looks like to be the best version of ourselves.

True happiness and fulfilment stem from being true to themselves and allowing others the same.

It was an enriching experience as our students discovered and embraced their hearts, fostering self-understanding and a stronger sense of self.
