A message from our Principal

Dear St. Brendan's School Community,

Congratulations to all our students who made their Sacraments in the last few weeks.  It was lovely to see their excitement while waiting to go into the Church.

Many thanks to Leanne Pellegrino (Catholic Identity Leader) for all her organisation and special thanks to Jessamy Doyle (Sacramental Coordinator) for her work and organisation.

Year 6 Camp

Our Year 6 students enjoyed three days away at Airey's Inlet.  They were very fortunate to have such great weather.

The students loved the beach and all the outdoor activities.  We are very proud of their great behaviour at camp.

Many thanks to Nick Iorianni (Camp Co-ordinator), Sam Beks, Ted Lindon, Shamus Searle, Beth Seccull and Jhett Cooper for looking after the students so well and all their organisation.

Great photos on our St. Brendan's Facebook page.

Swimming

Our Swimming Program begins on 20th November to 30th November.  There will also be a fun day on the last day for students on the 18th December.

Aquamoves informed us that due to lack of instructors, each unit will only have 5 days at the pool.

Juniors will have the same length of lessons as Middle and Seniors.  They will have 45 minute lessons.

We will send out the timetable soon as we could only take 40 students a session, so some classes will be split.

As the cost has risen at the pool, buses and fun day, the $70 will cover these costs.

Thanks to John Howley for his work with Aquamoves staff to ensure all children could attend.  Thanks to Joel and John for working out timetables for staff and for the Specialist Program to keep running.

Assembly

We will continue to have Assemblies in the Courtyard at 9am on Friday's, as per Term 1. We will notify you if there is no Assembly.

Pupil Free Day

Just a reminder that there is a Pupil Free Day on Monday, 6th November (Assessment and Reports) and Tuesday, 7th November (Melbourne Cup Public Holiday).

Sad News

Our thoughts and prayers are with Jo Baldacchino on the sad loss of her dearly loved father, Ian Kay.  Loving father in law of Luke and adored Grampy of Sophia and Lucy.

~ May he rest in peace ~

Kind regards,
