Year 11 Chemistry - Ecolinc Excursion
Year 11 students travelled to Ecolinc to practice their skills of water testing needed for their AOS 3 SAC.
Year 11 Biology - Ecolinc Excursion
Year 11 students travelled to Ecolinc to be introduced to their Unit 2 topic of adaptations. Students investigated the Tasmanian tiger, and their impacts on their environment.
Year 10 Biology - Whittlesea Tech School Excursion
Year 10 students attended Whittlesea Tech School to complete their experiment on the use of natural remedies as antibiotics. This will help them to complete their first Scientific Poster.
Year 9 Partners in Crime - GTAC Excursion
Students in our Forensic Science elective attended an excursion at GTAC to analyse different forms of evidence to solve a crime!
Dissections
Year 10 Biology - Frog Dissection
As a part of our year 10 electives, students are investigating the cardiovascular system and comparing these between species. Students analysed the systems inside frogs by completing a dissection
Year 9 Science - Kidney Dissection
Year 9 students study homeostasis and how the body maintains balance! Students completed a Kidney dissection to analyse the structures that allow kidneys to maintain water balance
Collaboration
A big focus in Science is working together to achieve success! Have a look at our students working collaboratively to learn vocab and consolidate
Year 12 Farewell
Well done to our first cohort of year 12's for completing Unit 3 and 4 Sciences!! We are so proud of you and good luck to all our fantastic science students :-)
We are so proud of the effort, committment and resilience that ECSC students demonstrate in Science. We are looking foward to finishing off term 4 with a bang!
