Week 9 in the Kitchen…

Spring Feast

As we welcome spring with open arms, we celebrate the beautiful leafy green produce in our Kitchen Garden!

This fortnight we incorporated spinach, kale and sorrel. We also squeezed some lemons on our gozleme and added calendula petals to our chocolate mousse 🧑‍🍳 🥬 🍋 🍫 🌼 😋

Garden News

Spring has sprung and the Kitchen Garden is blooming with lots of flowers and produce.

Our Year 1s and 2s have worked hard to make their own gardens. We had to work hard to move new soil, plant and water in our new gardens.  The garden tyres look amazing.

Our Year 5s & 6s enjoyed working in our indigenous garden and Sky & Bobby love to come along and help out by eating all the weeds.

And our preps finished off making their flower vases and picked lots of differnt flowers from our gardens. We spoke about parts of a flower, stem, pollen, nectar and petals.

Its been an amazing term in the garden.  Thank you to our fantastic students that work hard in the garden planting and picking produce for our kitchen and for the many students that are out animal leaders and take care of all our school animals.

Enjoy your spring holidays. See you in term 4.

Happy  Gardening

Sandy
