YEAR 12, TERM 3 HOLIDAY BREAK EXAM REVISION
Over the upcoming school holiday break, we are offering Unit 3/4 VCE exam revision sessionsfacilitated by staff members who are volunteering their time. The purpose of these sessions is to provide students with targeted revision and practice of exam-specific skills for a subject.
These sessions are available for VCE students in Year 12 who are sitting exams and for Year 11 students who are currently studying a Unit 3/4 VCE subject. Please refer to the COMPASS newsfeed for the complete schedule.
YEAR 12 ATTENDANCE & STUDY SUPPORT IN TERM 4
Year 12 students completing a scored VCE are still required to attend school and their usual scheduled classes for the first two weeks of Term 4. This is one of the most crucial times in their education, leading up to final exams.
In addition to this, all Year 12 VCE teachers will have availability to support students for their usual timetabled class, for the 5 days leading up to their exam, should students wish to attend for additional preparation and support. This is highly encouraged. Students' individual exam schedules have been distributed by their iThrive teacher.
YEAR 9 CITY EXPERIMENTAL RECAP TERM 3
It has been a very busy term in the Year 9 Experiential Learning program. Students have been working to plan their community projects, focusing on a variety of issues that affect our world today. They also participated in two incursions: a presentation from Red Frogs and hands-on planning with the Crazy Good Tech Challenge.
Traveling into the city gave students a chance to visit the Queen Victoria Market, and complete a self-guided tour of one of the oldest and largest markets in the world. Students also explored laneways and heard stories of homelessness and struggles with The Intersection - Urban Learning. They also learned more about Indigenous culture with the Koorie Heritage Trust Walk.
We are looking forward to many exciting experiences and opportunities in Term 4.
