New England Sings!

Ben Venue Junior and Senior Choirs are once again excited to be performing in the second concert (2.30pm) of New England Sings! Students have been rehearsing regularly at NECOM with guest composer Ian Jefferson from Sydney and are enjoying the many songs he has composed to be premiered at the concert. He has chosen local features such as our cemetery, traditional Armidale blue bricks and typical New England weather for his songs.

After the holidays we have one more Thursday rehearsal with Ian in the second week back (October 24). Following that the concert weekend will be here and community members with tickets will be able to enjoy this music extravaganza held at Lazenby Hall, UNE. This is always a highlight of the year for our choirs and students remember the experience of singing in such an impressive event for years to come.
