Year 12 Information

IMPORTANT YEAR 12 INFORMATION

 

The year is drawing to a close for Year 12 students. For many this is an exciting time but for others this can be quite daunting. We are here to support your child during this time.

 

It was great to see the Year 12 students getting involved in the recent Year 12 vs Staff competition – Netball. Unfortunately, for the students, the staff came away with the win. Hopefully, they can be as competitive in the final competition of the year.

Below is an outline of important information and deadlines for the remainder of the year.

  • Unit 3-4 VCE Trial Exams
    • Thursday 19th & Friday 20th September
    • Tuesday 1st, Wednesday 2nd & Thursday 3rd October
  • VTAC applications
    • VTAC University & TAFE timely applications close
      • Monday 30th September (5 pm)
    • SEAS & Scholarship applications close
      • Friday 11th October (5 pm)
  • Last day of VCE & VCE VM classes
    • Monday 21st October, periods 1 – 4
  • Unique program for VCE & VCE VM students
    • Monday 21st October lunch & period 5
  • Celebration Day
    • Tuesday 22nd October
    • 9.10 am Whole school assembly – parents are welcome to attend
    • Gumbuya World periods 2 – 5
  • VCE recommended classes
    • VCE classes will continue to run from Wednesday 23rd October to Monday 28th October
    • Classes are not compulsory but are highly recommended
    • NB: VCE VM students may be required to come in during this time if they have not submitted all assessment tasks or have not finished their VET course
  • VCE English Exam
    • Tuesday 29th October (9am Koo Wee Rup Community Centre)
  • Remaining VCE Exams
    • Wednesday 30th October – Tuesday 19th November (Koo Wee Rup Community Centre)
  • VCE Results & ATAR
    • Thursday 12th December (7 am)
  • Year 12 Valedictory
    • Friday 13th December
    • Ticket sales close Friday 1st November
  • VCE December Offer Round
    • Monday 23rd December

Information relating to students completing an unscored VCE

  • Students are not required to complete Unit 3-4 Trial exams
  • Students are not required to attend in Term 4 unless they need to complete redemption task/s
  • Students are welcome and encouraged to attend school on Monday 21st October, to attend the unique program in the afternoon
  • Students may attend school on Tuesday 22nd October for Celebration Day

NB: Any student completing the English exam is required to complete the Trial exam on Friday 20th September. They must also attend all English classes in Term 4 before the exam.
