Basketball Clinics
As part of the Sporting Schools program, all students from Foundation to 6 over the past 2 weeks have been participating in a basketball program during PE. This program is designed to help students learn basketball skills and develop an understanding of the game.
We have been excited to welcome Brayon Blake from the Knox Raiders who has been conducting these clinics. Originally from Seattle, Washington, Brayon started playing basketball at age 3. Throughout his basketball career, he played at the University of Idaho where he then made his NBA debut in the year of 2018 for the Cleveland Cavaliers. After spending 7 years playing professional basketball in Europe, Brayon now resides in Australia, where he plays for the Knox Raiders. Brayon also conducts basketball clinics at schools throughout the metropolitan region.
Brayon’s teaching philosophy emphasizes having fun and working hard. He believes that high energy and effort are essential for success. He begins with the fundamental skills and progresses to more advanced techniques and competitive games.
We are fortunate to have Brayon’s professional expertise here at Camelot Rise.

Gardiners Track and Field
Last Friday, 6th September, Camelot Rise took a squad of 47 students to the Gardiners District Athletics Carnival held at the Bill Sewart Athletics Track.
The students performed remarkably well, doing their best in every event and showing great sportsmanship. As usual, our exemplary behavior was on show during the day.
Of note we had several students qualify for the Division Athletics which will be held in Term 4 on Wednesday 9th October. We wish all those students competing, the very best.
A huge thank you to Lachie Quinn and Mr Judkins for their assistance on the day and to those parents who came and supported us.
