CSPS STEM Spot

Science Talent Search - applications now open

This competition is open to all students in Years 2-6 who are interested in STEM. Categories include experiments, inventions, creating a science picture storybook, researching a scientific poster and designing board games and computer programs.

Our students have performed very well over the past few years in this statewide competition, winning medals and cash prizes against thousands of other entries from hundreds of schools. If your child is interested in participating in the 2025 Science Talent Search, they must complete an application form with details of their proposal. Please contact Ms Patel for more details of this competition.

Introducing our friendly skeleton….

We have a skeleton in our STEM space and recently, students were asked to suggest a name for our bony friend. After many entries, and much deliberation, our Year 6 STEM Leaders have made their decision. Our STEM friend is now called Hollowbones. This important member of our STEM classes is already helping students to learn about parts of their bodies, such as our ribs which we can feel when we do our mindful breathing.
