Student Leadership

Every day matters

Introducing our Student Voice Consultative Team

Jamie  - Year 11

Hi, I'm Jamie Green. I was on the Student Voice Council last year, where I helped with the yearbook and supported various school events. I'm social and approachable, always ready to listen to others. I applied for the role again because I enjoy making a positive impact and ensuring everyone’s voice is heard. I’m excited to contribute and make this year even better!

My name is Vrushi Chunawala, and I am a Year 11 student with a strong passion for student advocacy and leadership. I applied for the role of Student Voice Representative because I believe that every student’s voice matters and should be valued. I want to be someone who listens, understands, and takes action to ensure that my peers feel heard and supported. My goal is to create an open and inclusive space where students can freely share their concerns, ideas, and suggestions. By                                           fostering meaningful discussions and encouraging greater student                                             involvement, I hope to contribute to positive changes that enhance our                                     school community.

                                Thanks & Regards,

                                Vrushi

Hi! My name is Aarya, and I’m excited to be part of the Student Voice team. I applied for this role because I truly believe that every student deserves to be heard, and I want to help make sure your ideas and concerns shape our school experience. My goal is to improve communication between students and staff, create more opportunities for student involvement, and make our school a place where everyone feels valued. I can’t wait to work with everyone and make a positive                                             impact together!

                               Kind regards,

                               Aarya

Hello HSSC Students, I’m Nathan, one of your Year 10 Student Voice reps! I applied for this role to help build a more connected and engaging school community. My goal is to boost our  school’s social media with fun interviews, highlights, and updates to keep everyone involved. I also want to give students a bigger voice in shaping our school culture.

Thanks Nathan.

Hello everyone! My name is Mahlaqa Shah, and I'm in Year 11. I've been at Homestead Senior for two years, and if I've learned anything it's that this school is full of voices waiting to be heard. You may not know me yet, but I always wanted to have my say, be it through debates, on the netball court, or in class! That's why I was so eager to join the Student Voice group, not just for Bunjil House, but for every Homestead student.

I applied for Student Voice because too often, important conversations                                      happen without any real action which is a major thing I’d like to change!                                    Through debating, I’ve strengthened my ability to understand different                                        perspectives, challenge ideas, and find solutions that work for everyone.                                  Every student, whether in Bunjil or otherwise, should feel like their voice                                    matters and their concerns lead to real change. Whether it's fixing school                                   issues, making lessons more engaging, or just making                                                                     sure student issues don't get overlooked, whatever it is, I'm here to help!                                   I couldn't be more thrilled to enhance what's already an amazing school                                   and make it even better with my fellow student reps. See you around                                          and don't be shy about letting us know your issues!

  Hello everyone,

My name is Anushka. I applied for the role of Student Voice this year because I like to ensure that all my peers feel heard and valued. My aim is to strengthen the connection between students and their school/school life as we are now going through a stressful but important phase. In the end, I wish to create a supportive, engaging and motivating environment where all students have a say in their learning.

Hello my name is Isha, I am in 10F, I am from the best house of the school which in case you didn’t already know it is Gillard. Recently I was given the opportunity to be in the student voice committee and I will uphold this role with pride and try to make a positive impact on our school community with full commitment. My goal is to take feedback from our homestead community to understand the problems and challenges that may arrive and provide possible solutions. But it isn’t all about solving problems, I also want to bring excitement to the homestead community, through potential school activities and events to keep us motivated and excited for school.Overall, I want to hear what you all want, so please feel free to contact me with any problems or ideas you’d like to see implemented. I’ll do my very best to act on these ideas, within reason. Let’s make 2025 our year and the most memorable one yet!

Hello guys I am Czar, I come from the Philippines and I love sports. I also love music as well. I joined the student voice cause I am enjoying Homestead so far . I want to help all students to see what I see at Homestead, feel what I feel when I am at Homestead. I also want to help the faculty since they have also been kind to me. I want to help this growing school in any way possible.

Hey everybody I'm Varsha, from year 10 and I am one of your student voice leaders for 2025. I initially applied for this role to be an accessible member of the school who can help deliver requests, questions, and suggestions, to our lovely team. I can't wait to have a wonderful year ahead, with many memories and fun events to look forward to . I hope to get to know all of you soon and make sure everyone feels safe and comfortable in school. Have a great rest of the                                       week everybody, DO WELL IN CLASS!! 😇

                               Sincerely,

                               Varsha

Hi, I’m Dom! i’m always up for a chat. Whether it’s about student life, pop culture, or my absolute favorite topic is Formula 1 I could talk about F1 for days, especially about McLaren!, and I’m always keeping up with the latest races and team strategies. Music is another big part of my life, and I enjoy all genres, with Travis Scott, Gorillaz, and Fred Again being my favorites. From movies to gaming to everything in between, I’m all about pop culture and love sharing.
