From the Desk of Kathy Nott - Term 1, Week 6

Good afternoon, Parents/Carers,

It was great to see so many parents/carers at our first assembly last Friday.  Congratulations to those students who received an award and to our School Captains and Vice Captains who did an outstanding job hosting the assembly.  We look forward to the second half of Term 1, with many activities still to come.

 

Behaviour Focus

Each week we focus on a particular behaviour to ensure our students know what is expected each and every day.  Those students who achieve the behaviour focuses receive over and above awards to fill their rewards chart.

 

Our behaviour focus for Week 6 is Ready - 

Get ready to learn: 

  • Come to school with a great attitude
  • Switching our brain on
  • Always listening
  • Eyes on the teacher

Bus Service for school pick up and drop off

Thank you to everyone who indicated they would use the Bus Service to and from school each day.  You can now apply for a bus pass through Tamworth Bus Lines website at tamworthbuslines.com.au (this cannot be done via a mobile device.  To access the website, you must use a computer/laptop).  If you do not have one of these devices the school can provide access to one to complete. Alternatively, you can contact Tamworth Bus Lines on 131 500.

 

Turn Up Awards

To encourage our students to attend school every day we have introduced the "Turn Up" award.  Each day your child attends their name will be entered into the draw to receive a canteen voucher.  A voucher will be issued each week to each class.  If your child attends 5 times in that week they have 5 entries.  If they attend two days in that week they have 2 entries.  Our winners for Week 5 are:

4/5/6W -   Montana

Congratulations, you will each receive a canteen voucher to enjoy a free lunch from the canteen this Friday.

 

 

Expression of Interest for Yrs 3-6 Major Excursion to Sydney

Expressions of interest for our major excursion to Sydney in November 2025 is due this Friday.  We ask that you return your signed EOI to the school office together with a deposit to secure your child's spot.  Payments can also be made online through the Sentral app.

 

Thank You White Haven

A big thank you to White Haven who have made a donation towards our Yrs 3-6 Major Excursion to Sydney.  Your contribution will go a long way in ensuring all students can enjoy the experience.

 

School Photos

Our Annual School Photos will take place next Tuesday, 11th March.  Please ensure your child is dressed in full school sport uniform on the day.  All envelopes are due back to school by next Monday, 10th March.

 

Regional Swimming Carnival

Congratulations to Arabella, Jackson and Theo who are through to the Regional Swimming Carnival all competing in the 50m Freestyle for their age group.  We wish you the best of luck on Monday, 10th March in Armidale.
