Hello Foundation Families,

Marvellous! Creative! Fabulous! Outstanding! These are just some of the words to describe this week that begin with the letters we have been learning, m, c, d, g, o, f. We have worked hard to practise correctly forming these letters on the baseline, as well as sounding and blending them to create and read words.

This week in Maths we investigated length and ordinal numbers. We directly compared objects to idenitify which was long and short, and even used informal units to measure the length of our feet. Students used perseverance to ensure there were no gaps between the blocks, teddies or counters they were using to measure. Linking to Twilight Sports, we also practised identifying and ordering ordinal numbers (1st, 2nd, 3rd etc). We had lots of fun creating our own Twilight Sports Race with Mr Men characters.

This week, Foundation students met their Year 5 buddies for the first time. Students enjoyed getting to know each other and then ate their lunch together in the Coutyard. We look forward to working with our buddies throughout the year

Information Night is Thursday the 20th of March. We are hoping for engagement from every family on this night, as it's a night that we can answer lots of questions, show you what our year looks like and then show you what the students have been up to in Term 1. Please fill out this form so we can answer any questions you may have:
