Overdue Books

Thank you so much to families who have hunted for long overdue books. We have regained more than 100 books back into our collection and still have more coming in!

A reminder that, moving forward, overdue notices will be sent home each week to support your child in returning books on time. Students will not be able to borrow new books while they have current overdues (from 2025). At the end of each term an invoice will be sent home to cover the replacement cost of any books that remain overdue. I will be speaking to all classes this week about renewing books if they haven't finished reading them; it's just a quick conversation with me and I can adjust due dates.

International Women's Day

We have a new display in the library to celebrate International Women's Day on March 8. The books on display include books about inspiring women, books written by women and books with strong female characters. I hope that all in the school, regardless of gender, can enjoy celebrating these authors, characters and historical figures.

Safer Internet Day

Last month the Stage 3 students wrapped up discussions about safe internet use by brainstorming responses to 6 different prompts in small groups. The collated responses of all Stage 3 students are now on display in the library and included below for your interest:

Premier's Reading Challenge

The Premier's Reading Challenge (PRC) began on Monday the 24th of February and runs until the 22nd of August 2025. We are currently unable to access the challenge website due to technical delays in setting up access for co-ordinators and students, but have been assured this will be done soon.

In the meantime there is nothing stopping your child from starting to read and log what they've read for the challenge. While this will become more accessible once we have student logins, you can download the challenge lists here and keep note at home of what has been read from the relevant list (you can include any books that have been read since the challenge closed last year).

Challenge levels are outlined below:
