Cross Country

Recently our amazing Grade 3-6 students took part in our annual ‘Mano’ Cross Country event down at Fyansford Common. With some warm weather our students showed wonderful resilience and competitiveness to complete the run at their very best, along with being cheered on by a record crowd this year of parents and supporters! 

Great job Mano!

 All students tried their hardest for the house they were running for. A super effort by all, especially our Grade 3 students who ran 2km for the first time and all finished the race. A HUGE thanks to the parents who helped on the day, which made the event run smoothly and bring many smiles to the kids faces. Purrumbete won the event on the day, beating Strachan who came a close second. Very well done to Narmbool and Manifold who also showed excellent teamwork and participation throughout the day coming third and fourth. Below are some pictures of the students who won their event. Students who have made it through to the next round on Wednesday 23rd of April are seen as below. These students will meet with Mr Hambrook next week.

Summer Lightning Premiership

Last Thursday our students participated in the Summer Lightning Premiership and represented our school at a variety of venues in Geelong. They have been training hard in a variety of sporting events within their chosen sport at lunch times and recess. It’s awesome to see the students improvement, willingness to develop new skills and show a motivated and positive attitude towards their learning and team-work. Our students did an awesome job with many wonderful parent helpers who assisted on the day as coaches, scorers and helpers. We are so lucky to have so many amazing parents at ‘Mano’ and we greatly appreciate you!
