SUSTAINABLE UPDATES
Hi Rippers!
The sustainability team has lots of projects on the go at the moment & continue to work towards embedding sustainability into everything that happens at RPS!
On Saturday March 15th a Team of volunteers prepared the garden beds so that the student gardeners could start their autumn planting.
The summer plants were dug out and compost and nutrients were added so that the new plants can thrive!
The Foundation - Year 2 students will be voting this week on which winter vegetables and herbs will go into the prepared garden beds and start planting soon - watch this space 🌱
We also would like to acknowledge the efforts of Nick, Col and Kate for organising the installation of a new heat pump for the Snack Shack - this should save us $ on bills, uses about 40% of the energy and emissions of the previous system and should be big enough for the new tuckshop and LOTE room.
Lastly, thanks to everyone who donated a gold coin on Wildlife Day. We raised over $144 and all that money went to the World Wildlife Fund to help endangered animals! We loved seeing everyone dress up and you all had amazing outfits. Have a great week!
