Principal's Report
Dear Parents and Carers,
Congratulations to our Year 2 students, teachers and families on the very successful Sacrament of First Reconciliation held on Tuesday this week. My sincere thanks to Fr. Justin, Fr. Ramsay, Miss India Mitchell-Fletcher, Mrs Bianca Latto, Miss Mille Harris, Mr Ian Leach and Mrs Liana Mackay for supporting the children and preparing them for this important sacrament.
My thanks also to the parent community for your support of our sacramental program not only for Reconciliation but for First Eucharist and Confirmation as well. Without community support we would not be able share our faith in such a meaningful and spiritual way.
P & F Colour Run
The wait is almost over! 1 more sleep....
Please see below the schedule for the colour run on the school oval:
12:45pm - 1:15pm - Year 5 & Year 6
1:20pm - 1:50pm - Year 3 & Year 4
1:55pm - 2:20pm - Year 1 & Year 2
2:25pm - 2:45pm - Prep
The colour run will now be held on the school grounds due to logistics on the day.
The fundraising for this event will go directly to our P & F project of replacing the senior students adventure playground. We have selected our playground company and the design, and are in the process of finalising the colour scheme.
Staffing Updates
As is customary each year, there is a changeover of staff and it is my duty to announce the following departures of staff at the end of the year:
Miss India Mitchell-Fletcher (Year 3) has accepted a teaching position at a new school and will be leaving us at the end of the year. I would like to thank Miss Mitchell-Fletcher for her work not only in Year 3 but as our Religious Education Leader as well.
Miss Issy Simioni (Year 4) will be finishing at the end of this year to spend more time with family and to travel. I wish her all the best for her future teaching experiences.
Miss Sarah Blaney (LSO) will be joining a school closer to her home to continue working with children in her capacity as a Learning Support Officer. I wish Sarah all the best for the future.
Mrs Antoinette Corp (Year 6) will be retiring at the end of this year. We are hopeful that Mrs Corp will still be available for Emergency Teaching days next year.
Mrs Julianne Gibson (Year 1) will be continuing with us as an Emergency Teacher next year also.
Next year we will be going up an additional class to round out our maximum class numbers to 21 (3 per year level). I have also employed new teaching staff to accomodate this increase and the changing of roles and hours of other staff. The full staffing compliment will be announced later this term at an appropriate time.
Prep 2025 Orientation
The orientation process for our 2025 Prep classes will begin early next month, and as such, I can announce that our 2025 Prep teachers will be Miss Stephanie Murnane, Mrs Emily Thorley and Miss Nikahla Short (New Teacher). Mrs Kathryn Ady will be in a different class level for 2025. I am very excited about our prep team for next year and I am looking forward to our upcoming orientation sessions:
