Foundation Learning Community
It has been another busy few weeks in Foundation. The children have been flexible with so many changes that have been happening lately - between transition days, different teachers and hot weather. We appreciate the children and your patience as our regular daily check ins have been looking a bit different due to the busy schedule. We know we have a few aspiring teachers among us, as they have been reminding us that they need their readers changed.
We have been extending our sentence writing lately and have been writing wonderful stories about Pip and Tim, whilst including our own setting and what they are doing. If you get a chance, feel free to pop in before school and have a look at this wonderful writing.
For Maths, we have been learning about addition and subtraction. The children have loved playing bowling to work out subtraction sums.
The children have been learning all about the life cycle of a chicken. There is a lot of excitement around our 73 eggs that we are trying to hatch in the incubators.
We loved seeing all of the children's grandparents and special people last week. The children were very proud showing them around our learning space.
We were so impressed by all the students who had writing, or art pieces submitted into the show. Congratulations to those students who won a prize.
As a school we have been challenging ourselves to walk/run laps of the school each day as a part of Nedd's Uncomfortable Challenge. It has been wonderful seeing children choose to complete these laps each recess and lunchtime.
On Thursday the 14th of November we will be heading to Albury for the Pevan and Sarah concert. The children are beyond excited for this excursion. Please look on PAM for more information and the consent form for this excursion.
We hope you and your family have a relaxing long weekend.
