Prayer for All Saints Day

Dear God,

Thank you for the example of the Saints.

I desire to join in their company, worshiping you forever in Heaven.

Please help me follow their footsteps, and yours, Jesus Christ.

Please help me to conform myself to Your image,

seeking Your will in all things, as the Saints did.

Please help me to devote myself, and all that I do,

to Your glory, and to the service of my neighbours.

Amen.

All Saints Day

Today our Year 3 and 4 students and teachers attended Mass to celebrate All Saints Day when we remember all the Christian saints throughout history. There are more than 10,000 saints recognised by the Catholic Church, each of whom have been faithful role models, giving their life to God and showing us how to live a Christian life. Many of us are connected to special saints, those whom we admire, those whose names we chose at Confirmation, saints who we pray to and saints that have inspired the names of schools and parishes. May we continue to see remarkable individuals living saintly lives today, especially those working towards justice and peace in our world.

Our Year 3 and 4 students and teachers celebrated this special day by surprising Father Junjun. The students shared the names of their nominated confirmed saints, while Mrs. Iddles and the teachers proudly participated in the spirit of All Saints' Day.

World Teachers Day Australia

Last Friday, we expressed our heartfelt gratitude to all the dedicated teachers at St. Joseph's School. Their tireless commitment and passion for the children in their care truly shines through. Teaching is often described as a ‘vocation’ rather than just a job; our teachers are always engaged, caring for the emotional, social, and academic needs of each learner.

We appreciate the invaluable work our teachers do and recognise that their influence may extend far beyond the present—whether today, tomorrow, or even 20 years from now. At the heart of our Catholic system is a commitment to nurturing students as ‘thriving people, capable learners, and leaders for the world God desires.’

Thank you to our wonderful educators at St. Joseph's School—God bless you all!

St Joseph's Award: Courage

Our current focus for the St. Joseph Award is on the value of Courage. Our teachers will guide students in understanding and embodying this important quality.

St. Joseph teaches us that true courage often involves standing firm in our beliefs, supporting our loved ones, and making difficult choices for the greater good.

We can demonstrate courage in our daily lives by:

  • Standing by our friends and family in times of need, offering help and understanding.
  • Confronting challenges with faith and determination, knowing that we are never alone.
  • Advocating for justice and kindness, speaking out against unfairness and bullying in our community.
  • Approaching change with an open heart, trusting that God has a purpose for us.
  • Living our faith through our actions, treating others with respect and compassion.

Let us honour St. Joseph’s legacy by embracing courage and striving to make a positive impact in the world around us.
