Term 4
Welcome back to Term 4. It is great to be back from my leave and heading straight into the final term for the year. I would like to thank Bronwyn and the team for leading the school whilst I was away.
As we gear up for what is always a busy term, we have already seen lots of fun and exciting activities for our students including the Upper Primary Big Day Out, our Secondary Sports Day, Regional Athletics and Interschool Sports. With many more events and activities to come this term, we look forward to connecting and engaging with you all.
50+1 Celebration
On Saturday the 19th of October, we celebrated our 50+1 Anniversary. This momentous occasion was a fantastic way for our community to reflect on the incredible journey this school has taken over the years, the milestones we've achieved, and the community that has made Concord what it is today. It was such a special way to showcase and share the memories of our past and present students, reconnect with those who impacted on their lives and also a way to look forward to the next chapter as we prepare for many more amazing years to come.
We also opened the school’s time capsule which was buried in the year 1985. Inside was a letter from the Principal, student work and activity books, pictures and some catalogues from the local grocery store. These items were displayed in our Discovery Centre for the remainder of the day, and we look forward to sharing these with the students and families who pass through our school. Now we are preparing a new time capsule to be buried and opened in another 50 years.
I would like to extend a very special thank you to the organising committee who made the day possible. Bronwyn, Kerryn, Karen, Jimmy, Jodi, and Ann. A big thank you to Nikki and Di for their creativity and hard work in supporting the decorating, setup, and promotional work for the event. And a very big thank you to Grahame for ensuring the grounds of our school looked amazing.
Thank you to all of our staff who volunteered their time to help with the celebrations. Their commitment to our school and students is second to none, and we are so fortunate to have you as part of the Concord School team.
And finally, to our students, families and the entire community, both past and present, — thank you for your engagement, support, and dedication over the years. It is your passion and involvement that makes this school a truly special place. Whether you’ve been here for a short time or for many years, your contributions have helped shape Concord School’s story.

Principal's Award -
Alicia has made a significant effort to improve her engagement with school this year. She has demonstrated a strong commitment to improving her learning, often engaging in self-initiated mathematical problems during her free time. Alicia now takes great pride in wearing her school uniform consistently and has thoroughly enjoyed her involvement in the operation of the school café. She has recently been selected to join the Australian Pearls U20s Women's basketball team. Congratulations Alicia on a successful year!
