Principal's Message

Dear Holy Family Parents and Carers,

Celebrating World Teachers' Day

Today we celebrate World Teachers' Day, we take a moment to honour the dedication and passion of our wonderful educators. Teachers play a pivotal role in inspiring curiosity and fostering a love of learning that lasts a lifetime. The commitment of our educators goes beyond the classroom; they are mentors, supporters, and advocates for each student’s potential. My deepest gratitude to our wonderful parents for their generosity in providing a delicious lunch and beverages for our teachers and bags of sweets for the children. Your kindness and generosity are greatly appreciated.

North Shore Pastoral Discernment

Last Sunday, our Holy Family and Killara parish communities came together for the North Shore Pastoral Discernment, and it was a huge success. Parishioners, parents, staff, and students engaged thoughtfully in the process, sharing valuable perspectives on the future of our parish and the parishes in the North Shore Deanery.

The pastoral discernment process was ably led by Patti Beattie, the Head of Pastoral Discernment & Accompaniment from the Catholic Diocese of Broken Bay. Participants were asked to respond to five guiding questions, which encouraged deep reflection on how we can better serve and grow as a faith community. The discussions were rich and insightful, fostering a spirit of collaboration and unity.

I’d like to thank everyone who took part in this meaningful dialogue, in particular our wonderful senior students and I look forward to the continued discernment as we move forward together.  If you were unable to attend, we encourage you to submit your individual feedback using the link below:

Kindergarten 2025 - Parent Evening and Welcome Parish Mass

This week we had the pleasure of welcoming many new and current parents to Holy Family at the Kindergarten Orientation meeting. Our parish school community was well represented with Father Colin, Olwyn Connolly, Anne Gray, our Kindy teachers and the school leadership team providing essential information, establishing important connections, and setting the foundation for a positive and collaborative relationship between parents, teachers, and the school community.

The parish has kindly extended their welcome to all families, (especially new families) to the Welcome Mass on Sunday, 24 November. We are looking forward to welcoming our newest and youngest members to Holy Family. Please continue to keep these children and their family in your prayers as they commence this very important educational journey with their little ones.

SPARK - Supporting Potential Among Remarkable Kids  "Sensational Science"

Today, five of our amazing students are participating in a SPARK Day at St Bernard's Berowra Heights. The focus will be on microbiology, featuring a special session led by Professor Hofer from Sydney University. The day includes hands-on activities exploring the fascinating world of microbes. We look forward to hearing all about their special day.
