The final school term for 2024 is jam packed with sport as usual. Students have also begun rehearsals for our 2024 Dance Production ‘Just Dance!’, our school dress rehearsal is on Tuesday November 12th, and the Production is on Wednesday November 13th, tickets are available through the compass link https://compasstix.com/e/mp0lish131
On Wednesday the 16th of October our Hooptime Future stars represented Oatlands in the Regional Hooptime Basketball Event. They fought hard all day in some really tough matches, finishing 5th overall. We are so proud of all of their efforts in getting to this level. On Friday the 18th of October our Volleystars team and Girls Basketball team represented Oatlands in the Casey North Division Play offs at Cardinia Life Stadium in Pakenham. Our Volleystars team lost their first game in a very close match, won their second game and came runners up overall! Congratulations to the following students Jacob 6FH, Xavier 6FH, Bryce 6FH, Andrew 6FH, Mevan 6FH, Luka 6JS, Ehsan 6JS, Jai 6JS, Jack 6FH, Chase 6HD, Jack 6JS. Our Girls Basketball team lost their first game, tied their second game and then managed to beat an undefeated team in the Grand Final! The girls will now represent Oatlands in the Southern Metropolitan Region Basketball Championships at Jubilee Park in Frankston on Thursday the 31st of October. Congratulations to these students, Amelia 6JS, Hazel 6JR, Billy 6NH, Lexi 6MS, Ella 6JS, Anais 6MS, Shanai 6JS.
On Monday 21st of October, 19 of our Oatlands students represented our school at the Regional Athletics Carnival, held at Casey Fields. This included four of our Relay teams, which is an amazing effort. Although none of our students progressed to the State event, they all gave 100% effort and competed with terrific sportsmanship and a great attitude.
