CELEBRATING OUR YEAR 12 STUDENTS

This week we got the chance to celebrate another amazing group of Year 12’s, and celebrate we did, with three days of festivities!

After a full morning of classes on Monday, our Year 12’s went on their final “Adventure” around the school. We visited some of our favourite spots, which included Kinder, the Wild Space, Cluckingham Palace, the basketball courts, and ended in the gym for our last Volleyball game.

On Tuesday morning students arrived in clever and colourful dress ups ready to enjoy the day. We had our annual Year 12 Celebration Assembly where we had the chance to celebrate, honour and pray for this wonderful group. Two of our school leaders, Amelie and Amy, entertained us with memories of their years here, and Mrs McDowell shared with the students just how much we will miss them.

We were delighted by a hilarious Mr Seskis and his rock band.

Our Year 12’s were prayed over and given their Guard of Honour from the entire school and community.

This was followed by a delicious brunch where highlights and notable events from the students' time here at BHCS were shared. We had heartfelt student reflections and a good laugh at some very clever, student recorded videos. Thank you to Mr Booth, Mrs Webster   and their team for a hearty breakfast.

Last night we then concluded our celebrations with the Valedictory dinner. Mikayla and Nicholas, our school captains, gave thoughtful speeches and left the staff and parents feeling very appreciated. Mrs Bjelan shared with our students, and Mr Cliffe, our Principal, reminded us to value the most important thing.

We are so proud of this group - they are kind and fun, and young people of good character and integrity.

Thanks for the awesome memories, class of 2024!

EXCITING TRANSITION DAY FOR KINDER KIDS

Our four-year-old Kinder kids and new Preps joining us next year had an amazing Transition Day as they prepared to start on their school journey at BHCS in 2025! Each child proudly wore a special T-shirt featuring a learner's plate and the message, "I am ready to start Prep at BHCS." It was a fun morning, full of new friendships, and the promise of lots of learning ahead. We can't wait to welcome these bright young minds into Prep next year!
